Wanted is a estimator for a residential roofing contractor
The job: Run sales calls, and see them through to completion acting as a salesman, estimator, project manager, and customer contact. You will be in charge of the residential sales department and have your own office with office support staff and equipment. You and your staff will be responsible for setting up estimate appointments, arranging subs and walk-throughs, ordering materials, dumpsters, setting up the crews’ schedule… everything to suit the customer and get the job done.
- You should have a few years of sales experience. Maybe you ran your own remodeling or home improvement company. Maybe you really liked selling jobs but struggled to find talent to get the jobs done. Maybe you feel you could kick butt with a solid company backing you up.
- You should know enough to be able to consult with Mrs. Jones and construct her roofing system.
- You should have a pleasant disposition.
- Since you sold it, you’ll be the quality control and the glue that holds the process together. In the end it falls to you to make sure the job gets done right.
- You should be able to handle a computer
- You should not be afraid to get up on a roof when necessary.
